Why Zempin
The smallest seaside resort – and that is the point
Only a few hundred metres separate the Baltic Sea from the Achterwasser lagoon here. No promenade, no crowds. A morning beach where you can still find your own footprints, an afternoon ride to Koserow, an evening on your own terrace.
The apartment is on the ground floor and step-free: an open living and dining area with kitchen, two separate bedrooms, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and an additional guest WC. Underfloor heating, electric blackout blinds in every room and built-in insect screens – the things you only notice when they are missing.

A beautifully furnished apartment in a quiet location. Everything you need is there. Great position, with short walks to both the Achterwasser lagoon and the beach. We have stayed several times now and always feel very much at home.

We felt at home from the very first moment. The apartment is lovely and very comfortably furnished, nothing is missing. We also loved the location, because Zempin is a smaller resort and far less busy than Zinnowitz or Heringsdorf.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can stay in the apartment?
The apartment sleeps up to 4 guests: one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. A travel cot for infants is available on request.
How far is the beach?
The sandy beach is about 10 minutes away on foot. The fishing harbour on the Achterwasser lagoon is a similar distance – Zempin sits on one of the narrowest points of the island, with only a few hundred metres between the Baltic Sea and the lagoon.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes. In high season (late June to early September) we let the apartment by the week, Saturday to Saturday – seven nights. The rest of the year stays from two nights are possible.
Is the visitor's tax added on top?
No. Booking directly through this site, the visitor's tax of 3,70 € per person per night is already included in the price shown – there is nothing to pay on arrival. You receive the UsedomCard, which includes free travel on the island railway lines RB 23 and RB 24. More about this
Are pets allowed?
No. Nele is a non-smoking apartment and unfortunately we cannot accept pets.
